ROUND 3 REVIEW CUMBRE V BRAZA

ALEX LALOVIC
4-1 WIN
Our SFL side recorded an important 4-1 win over Braza Ginga. As has been the trend this season, we created a number of great chances but our finishing still lacked some polish as we left a few goals out there I believe. Never the less, the performance in general was pleasing against quality opposition. We were able to control the tempo for large periods and defensively I thought we were solid, with not many dangerous chances against our goal. We had strong contributions from the whole squad, with young captain Michael Lino leading the way with two goals.
Our goal is to still keep improving, especially in the final third where we need to be better at capitalising on the numerous opportunities we create. Even though we have started well, this team has the potential to reach another level and that’s what we will work hard to do. In round 4 we come up against Balga, who are a very physical and dangerous team to play against. We’ll need to be ready for a 40 minute battle to come out with a positive result and performance.

WAZEEM OMAR
1-0 WIN
The draft game was a cagey affair ending in a win with only 1 goal setting the sides apart. The draft squad suffered some setbacks with injuries to Kyle Rauter, Karim Yusof and Bennett Vess. But with Young Will Hayes improving week in and week out in training and in his age group he made his debut for the senior team putting in a spectacular performance by the young 15 year old. Will is one of the very first Cambio Cumbre academy players starting with Cambio Cumbre at the age of 8. The club is looking forward to more great performances from the young Cumbre player.
