Cambio Cumbre are excited to officially announce the signing of young star Alex Basto from the Murdoch Warriors for the 2021/22 Macron WA State Futsal League Season. Basto, 19, has been a regular presence in the SFL since making his debut aged 16 and tasted plenty of success as a player and coach all the way from youth to first team and brings a winning mentality and drive to an already strong Championship winning squad. He represented Cumbre earlier this year as a guest player in the u20 WA Invitational Cup, making a big impact as the team went on to win the competition. Basto represented Western Australia in the u19’s FFA State Futsal Championships and helped guide the team to a Grand Final appearance. Coach Alex Lalovic was delighted with the signing, saying “Alex is a terrific young player who already has a lot of experience playing at the highest levels in WA. His attitude and work ethic are outstanding and on the court he’s a high energy player who has already showed he fits in seamlessly with our young core group of SFL players from the Invitational Cup. I’m excited to see Alex in action for us this season and for many more.”
